We decided to start this group after taking a NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) family-to-family education class. Each member of this group has a relative with schiozophrenia, bipolar disorder, clincial depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder or borderline personality disorder. Our purpose is to support and educate each other. Anyone in the Austin or surrounding communities who has a family member affected by mental illness is welcome!

Additionally, because eating disorders can often be isolating, this group is also a "social" group in which …

About Mindfulness Exercises: The practice of self regulation of the autonomic nervous system. We teach integrated mind-body mental exercises to trigger a natural parasympathetic response in the autonomic nervous system. This response releases powerful neuro-chemicals that regulate the immune system. Regulation of the immune system transforms the human body at the cellular level. This natural transformation affects our view, how we feel, and ultimately our perception of reality, it affects how we …

The Nurses Co-Op is a membership-based organization of nurses and partners. We've been in the nursing profession collectively for over 30 years and have seen changes that have been both positive and challenging for nurses. We've listened and responded to the requests that nurses have made. That is why we created a co-op as a platform to support and empower nurses who are holistic healers, entrepreneurs, and out-of-the-box-thinkers. As a grassroots, social networking community, we represent …
